When the New for 2005 Mustang was introduced it had the style and the overall look of the
1969 Model. The quad headlights and stance. The side look when just glancing at it.
Everyone expected that the 2003 and 2004 Mach 1 package would re-surface, but that never
happened, and so it went that the best redesigned Mustang in years would miss the package
that everyone loves.
As you can see, my friend and I created a tribute car that is a modern interpretation of a classic
Mustang package. The hood was changed out to a Foose hood that has the style of the 69-70
classic lines.
The honeycomb panel, rear window louvers, lowered front spoiler and the blacked out hood
all contribute to the look of yesterday on a modern canvas.
Look inside and you see red leather seating and carpet surrounded by black panels and
trim. The factory shifter has been converted to a Hurst Shifter for a solid feel and vintage
looks.
The Redfire Metallic paint accents the good looks and the lines of the body.
With the aid of three valves-per-cylinder, the 4.6-liter (281 cu in) SOHC V8 hammers out
300 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque while the fun of manual shifting varies the
miles per smiles.
Completely redesigned for 2005, the Mustang moved to an all-new chassis after a 25-year run
on the late-'70s-era Fox-body platform. Ride quality and handling are more precisely controlled
than on any previous Mustang.
